brilliant and the people are lovely . Had alot of mosquitos in last 10 days ,they should be spraying insecticide to get rid as they have spoiled our holiday .All good but boat trips also expensive now. I have been to Turkey 10 times but this will be last as now more expensive than UK . will make the most of my last 4 days as you can't beat the weather

WHO HAS TAKEN LES'S BENCH? writes...
WHO HAS TAKEN LES'S BENCH?
An English family feel dissapointed on the dissapearance of thier late husbands/fathers memorial bench, which was positioned along the river path, situated at the back of the school.
In June 2005, Les Graham suffered a brain haemorage while swimming at ecincik caves and was on life support for 10 days when he sadley passed away.
Les enjoyed many family holidays in Dalyan staying at his daughters villa and apartment and was a familiar figure riding around on his bike and walking along the river path.
In his memory his wife Shirley and daughters erected the memorial bench and donated money for air conditioning units for the new Dalyan Clinic.
The bench was always used by locals, tourists, family and friends. However during this time local youths showed their lack of respect, by engraving and vandalising the bench.
On March the 21st of this year, it was discovered that the bench had been removed.
The family are deeply dissapointed and saddened by the disrespect and selfishness of some people who have taken property which did not belong to them.
The family would appreciate the return of the memorial plaque and if anyone has any information, please email at this address thebench05@yahoo.co.uk May 13, 2008 - 03:33 AM

Went to Dalyan today. The River trip to Turtle Beach was very relaxing. The beach that awaits at the end of the trip is long with finer sand than that found at Marmaris. This is a very natural setting with the river running into the sea creating shallow warm pools for the kids to play in. A special place indeed. May 01, 2008 - 12:05 PM

Dalyan is a very special place, people who visit generally come back - we did and bought out own villa! We are going to spend New Year in Dalyan and can't wait to see the area at a different time of year, and explore more on our bikes in the cooler air! September 25, 2007 - 05:31 AM

Fantastic place. Fantastic people.Went in may and are returning first week in september. Hoping to help out the captain on taffy boat if he hasn't already done the job himself with a minor fuel problem. But he doesn't know that yet. Just our way of repaying everyones kindness when we were there. August 06, 2007 - 12:30 PM
